Built by a founder who struggled with sales

Counterloop exists because I know what it's like to have a great product but feel stuck when it comes to selling it.

The problem I kept seeing and experiencing

I've struggled with this myself, and I've spoken to a lot of founders recently, especially indie hackers, who really struggle with sales and the very idea of sales.

It's amazing how passionate many of us are about what we do. But when it comes to putting ourselves out there, we come up against a road block.

And I get it.

From the founder

As a founder building my own products and services, I needed a tool that could help me handle objections in a way that felt authentic to what I was selling. Not generic responses, but contextual ideas that matched my business, my style, and the specific challenges my customers face.

I also wanted a way to smooth my communications with clients. I know what I need to say, but crafting the right response that's suitable for each prospect takes time and mental energy. With Counterloop, I can input what I want to communicate, and it helps me smooth the edges and craft a response that lands well.

It helps me respond faster because I'm not worrying about how I'm going to say what needs to be said.

The insight that changed everything

I was putting together a sales plan for a founder I was talking to about some freelance work I do on the side. He was telling me how much he struggles to get sales.

He knows people in his sector need his product and he knows why. But he just finds it hard to get things going.

He's worried that it means he's reliant upon referrals, and that scares him because it means his revenue is unreliable at this stage.

I realised there's a niche in sales I can target to help Junior SDRs and tech founders who want to build confidence in their sales skills.

So I wanted to test the idea and see if it resonated with people who face these challenges daily.

But as everyone knows, when theory meets reality, it's not always that easy.
